TWO travel-loving friends are gearing up to embark on an epic 3,000km road trip in an old banger.
James Flanagan and Camillus Hamill are no strangers to the European trek having already completed a 4,000-mile ride last June in an old Fiat Coupe.
Inspired by their previous success, the intrepid pair of thrill-seekers will once again dust off the Fiat, worth less than £1,000, for the ‘Roadhog’ event to raise money for the Dreams Come True charity helping terminally ill children.
Former Armthorpe resident James, 35, and Kenilworth compatriot Camillus have teamed up with Doncaster-based firm Motorhog in order to stage the challenge. Around 40 vehicles and over 100 people will be taking part.
The participants only know to turn up at Brands Hatch in Kent on August 24 and travel to France by Eurostar for the start the challenge.
Once they are there, they will be faced with treasure hunt style activities over four days.
