Reverend of Sheffield returns with headline dates

Sheffield 'rock'n'roll radicals' Reverend & The Makers have announced a trio of headline shows later this year.

After 2017’s The Death of a King became their sixth consecutive top-20 studio album and ahead of a summer of festival appearances – including Y Not in Derbyshire and Shiiine On in Birmingham – the band have announced a mini tour, taking in O2 Academy, Leeds, on Thursday, October 4, Nottingham’s Rock City on Friday, October 12 and Liverpool’s O2 Academy the following day, Saturday, October 13.

Support comes from two rising Sheffield stars in Redfaces and Sophie and the Giants.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 4, from 9am.

Reverend & The Makers acclaimed new album The Death Of A King, debuted in the UK album charts at number 11, completing a full-house of all six studio albums entering in the top-20.

Debut The State of Things reached number five, aided by the anthemic breakthrough single Heavyweight Champion of the World.

The band toured the follow-up album, 2009’s A French Kiss in the Chaos, as support act for the last ever live dates from Oasis.

@Reverend Makers’ was released in 2012, Thirty Two was unleashed in 2014 and the critically applauded Mirrors was released in 2015.
