Christmas has come early for a hard working Doncaster band who are celebrating after signing a record deal.
Bang Bang Romeo have been snapped up by Mad Club of Two Records based at the world-renowned Steelworks Studios in Sheffield.
The achievement is the icing on the cake for the Doncaster-based rockers who have enjoyed their most successful year to date.
The band is made up of Anastasia Walker, Guitarist Ross Cameron and Bass Player Joel Phillips who all originate from Doncaster and drummer Richard Gartland from Leeds.
Joel Phillips said: “It’s just really exciting at the minute, we wouldn’t have dreamed at the start of the year that we would be getting played on Radio 1 and XFM and signing a deal.
“It just all feels really good at the minute, in terms of writing and sound we’ve developed an almost telepathic understanding of what Bang Bang Romeo is and we are just really excited and looking forward to grabbing this opportunity now in 2015 and the sky’s the limit really.
“The support we have had locally has been phenomenal and we are so grateful for it and it’s made everything possible.”
As a reward for their local fanbase Bang Bang Romeo are set to take to the stage on Saturday (December 20) at Social Bar in Lazarus Court for a free gig.
