Flight of the Conchords UK tour postponed due to Bret McKenzie injuring his hand
Bret McKenzie, one half of the New Zealand comedy music duo Flight of the Conchords, has broken his hand in an incredibly rock'n'roll accident, aka "falling down some stairs."
As a result, the rest of the Flight of the Conchords' UK and Ireland tour has been postponed.
I've got hurt feelings bones
The band have already played Portsmouth, York and Milton Keynes and were set to play in London from March 18 when the incident was announced.
The rest of the tour will be rescheduled as a result.
"Bret and Jemaine are extremely sorry and deeply saddened that they cannot perform for their U.K. fans, who have waited so patiently," the band said in a statement on their website.
If you've previously bought a ticket, you will be contacted about the new date.
Every cloud has a silver lining
While it is a shame for many, some people on Twitter seemed very excited about the prospect of maybe finally being able to see the show after not being free for the original dates.
"I had tickets & couldn’t make it, but now hopefully I can," said Simon Rose. "Oh and get better and that."
"My two closest friends are literally your biggest fans. But they're living in a hospital right now as they're new baby is super ill & [sic] we were worried they wouldn't be able to make the gig in a few weeks," said @ADemonsVoice. "I genuinely thank you for breaking your hand & [sic] giving them a second chance."
