For shoppers with a Champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget, keeping up with the latest designer trends might not be the easiest to replicate, however, Primark is now stocking a scarf that is being widely compared to a luxury designer garment.

The check navy scarf has white and red detailing and only costs £3.00, a small price to pay to replicate the designer look of the Burberry Classic Check Cashmere Scarf, which costs £347 more.

Washed in local spring water

But unlike the high street version, the Burberry scarf is 100 per cent cashmere and buyers can even add their initials to the design.

The designer counterpart is made at a 200-year-old mill in the Scottish countryside.

The product description adds, “Using 30 different steps, the scarf is woven on traditional looms. The fabric is washed in local spring water and carefully brushed with teasels for a super-soft finish.”
