THERE is nothing that is tat-too much trouble for landlady Simone Foster-Jowett, when it comes to supporting our troops!

So when punters at the Anglers’ Rest, Wombwell, voted with their cash for Simone to have a huge Help for Heroes tattoo on her back, it was already a done deal.

From a choice of three designs, Simone’s regulars voted for her to sport a tattoo of two soldiers carrying another on a stretcher, and raised £166.50 for the soldiers’ charity. Taatoo of High Street, Wombwell, donated ink and expertise, and the deed was done on Armed Forces Day, just after the pub received a CAMRA award for being Cider Pub of the Season.

Simone said: “My back was a little angry at first but we had a great weekend and have more fundraisers planned. We have a big Winnie the Pooh bear being raffled off now and sell e-cigs which are quickly selling out!”

There are also items such as wrist bands, lapel badges, passport covers, dog tags and ID plates for sale at the busy Park Street pub.
