LEST we forget.
Youngsters at Epworth Primary School took part in the recent Remembrance Day events.
The pupils put up a display which included prayers written for peace by children in Y6.
Kayleigh Rose (9) and Hattie Latham (10), who are pictured here, took part in a special class assembly to mark Armistice Day.
In the assembly the children explained what they had learnt about Armistice Day in 1918 and how poppies became a symbol we use today in Remembrance.
Headteacher John Hodgkins said: “Both girls memorised their lines for the assembly and spoke them beautifully.”
All the pupils also took part in the 2 minute silence.
