Comedy favourite, Omid Djalili, is set to return to the region this month as part of his latest tour, Iranalamadingdong.
Omid is widely regarded as being one of Britain’s freshest and most original comics, and this tour promises to delight audiences.
The British-born Iranian is set to ham the accent and underlines the cliches before pulling the Persian rug from under the audience.
With a career in comedy spanning across three decades, Omid Djalili’s legendary performances on stage and screen have won him fans and plaudits the world over.
Renowned for his razor sharp wit, boundless energy and expertly crafted cultural observations, his original material continues to explore the diversity of modern Britain and he remains one of the most exciting entertainers on the circuit.
A firm favourite at the Edinburgh Festival, Omid’s stand-up awards include the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up and the EMMA Award.
He’s also been a nominee for a Perrier Award and the South Bank Award. Omid was also awarded a Best Actor award at the Turin Film Festival for his lead performance in The Infidel.

Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour, Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, January 27
Lovers of Saturday night staple, Strictly Come Dancing, are in for a treat as the latest live tour waltzes into the region.
Celebrities from this year’s series including Simon Webbe from Blue and Radio 1’s Scott Mills will join Thom Evans, Caroline Flack, Mark Wright and Alison Hammond are all set to perform on the tour.
Completing the line-up is Strictly favourite Zoe Ball, who will host the tour.
TV judge Craig Revel Horwood has directed the live tour, so audiences will experience Strictly’s glitz, glamour and breathtaking choreography in this supersized arena spectacular.
Celebrities and professional dancers from this year’s ratings winning show will take to the dance floor to recreate their dazzling moves and compete for votes from the judges.
Arena audiences will also be able to text vote for their favourite stars via their mobile phones and ultimately decide who wins the prized Glitterball Trophy at each performance.
The tour has received rave reviews in the national newspapers since it began in 2008.

Self-proclaimed ‘acoustic foot-stompers’ Rita Payne are one of the UK’s fastest rising acts and are set to play their hometown next month.
Drawing from an eclectic mix of musical tastes, from Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles to Paloma Faith, the Doncaster band use breathtaking vocal harmony, mesmerising guitar riffs and toe tapping beats to create their own unique brand of acoustic music.
Songwriters Rita Payne have released two albums to critical acclaim, appeared on The Voice, as well as supporting the likes of Reverend and the Makers and appearing alongside The Beautiful South, Bellowhead and The Animals.
