Police scheme a success

POLICE have reported recent success with the Country Watch Scheme in the central ward of the Isle.

Eight males were reported in one weekend for summons for being found trespassing in land in pursuit of game.

Some of the males found on land in the Isle had been seen only hours earlier doing the same thing in the Hibaldstow area.

A police spokesman said: “This highlights the importance of the Country Watch scheme, from which the sightings came from.

“Each person will be summonsed to explain their actions to a magistrate.”
