Several police cars and an ambulance were spotted by residents around Copley Road and Christ Church Road as emergency services dealt with the situation on Wednesday afternoon.

Supt Neil Thomas, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “There was a sudden death of a female, which is now been treated as a medical issue and not a police one. When somebody dies unexpectedly the police are always called, it doesn’t matter how old you are or where you are.”
