The Fire Service said they expect to be on scene for ‘at least another couple of hours’ and have asked people to avoid the area.
According to residents in the ‘tight knit’ community surrounding the old pub, there have been several fires at the site within the past few years.
It is not yet known what caused the blaze- the spokesperson added this would be investigated once the fire is finally out.
