A leading chamber ensemble has joined forces with a professional orchestra to inspire talented young musicians.
The Hull Sinfonietta-Skipton Camerata Partnership will present Vivaldi Classics at Harvey Theatre, Doncaster College, High Melton, at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 11.
The performance will feature Vivaldi’s Gloria and The Four Seasons with soloist Rachael Drury.
Before the performance the musicians will host workshops on The Four Seasons for some young string players from the Doncaster area.
The young musicians will then join the audience for the performance so they can appreciate the quality of the professional musicians who led the workshops.
Councillor Nuala Fennelly said: “We are keen to create as many opportunities for our young musicians to experience first-hand the excitement and thrill of live performances.
“Doncaster Music Education Hub has worked with the University of Hull and Doncaster College to give young musicians a chance to take part in educational workshops with musicians they will see performing afterwards. I am sure it will be very inspiring for our talented young people.”
The workshops are not open to the public.
However the concert is and tickets are £8, senior citizens £7, under 18s free.
