More than 350 secondary school students competed in a wide range of track and field events at Mexborough Academy towards the end of the summer term.
Pupils took to the playing fields to compete in the 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and relay races.
Youngsters also showed off their prowess in the field events by taking part in the shot put, discus, javelin, standing long jump and standing high jump.
Craig Wood, a PE teacher at the school, said: “It was really great to see so many young people engaging and really enjoying the days’ competition.
“The Academy has ‘Healthy Schools’ status, which it is rightly proud of.
“The brilliant day we had will have helped to encourage our students to engage in this type of healthy, active lifestyle.”
