The council has reiterated that the department has sufficient personal protective equipment for any person who comes forward looking to work in the sector.
Coun Rachael Blake, cabinet member for adult social care, said: “Looking after some of our most vulnerable Doncaster residents is crucial work and while lots of people have already contacted us about helping out, we do need more local heroes to come forward.
“This recruitment drive is more than just filling a short-term gap during this emergency, working in the care sector is a long-term career offering people a hugely rewarding job for the future.

“The recruitment process is straightforward, full training will be given and please be reassured full PPE is provided and safe working practices are in place.
“If you are looking for work, considering a change of career or feel you can be one of our many key workers doing such an amazing job in our communities please get in touch.
“You can make a real difference and we need your support.”
The academy will aim to quickly match the person’s interests, skills and experience with the available jobs.
