Louis Tomlinson and One Direction geared up for Brits glory

Doncaster pop sensation Louis Tomlinson will be hoping for glory tonight as he bids for two Brit awards at the annual glittering music ceremony.

His band One Direction have been nominated in the Best British Group and Best British Video category at the annual bash which will be held at The O2 in London tonight and will be screened on ITV from 8pm.

They will go head to head with alt-J, Clean Bandit, Royal Blood and Coldplay in the Best Band category.

In the best video section, where You & I has been nominated, they will be up against Calvin Harris, Charli XCX, Duke Dumont feat Jax Jones, Ed Sheeran, Mark Ronson feat Bruno Mars, Rita Ora, Route 94 feat Jess Glynne, Sam Smith and Sigma.

The group have won three Brits previously - picking up Best British Single in 2012 for That’s What Makes You Beautiful and best video in 2014 for Best Song Ever.

They have also won two Brits Global Success prizes.
