Tickets are now on sale for the 14th annual Aurora Fashion Show at Doncaster Dome and organisers are hoping to beat last year’s fundraising total of £22,208.

Speaking about the event that will take place on May 12 and 13 a charity spokesman said: “Fifty models, who have all had a cancer diagnosis, will take part in the 2016 show, supported by five local consultants and doctors.

“Consultant Clare Rogers has a main part in the show this year, finding time, in her very busy schedule, to attend all the 2016 rehearsals.

“We also welcome 14 new models to the catwalk this year, having been encouraged by some of the models from previous years to come along and find out what it’s all about.

“In 2015 Aurora Team Fashion Show raised over £22,000 to help support the running costs of the Aurora Wellbeing Charity in Doncaster, Mexborough and Worksop.

“It’s a huge target to beat but with Perrys Vauxhall sponsoring the show for the eighth year, and Atherton Godfrey sponsoring the programme for the second year, plus the support of local retailers and the Frenchgate Centre, we will be chasing this incredible total with this year’s show, which promises to be another two spectacular evenings.”

TV star Carolyn Hodgson will present the show for the 14th year alongside singer Rob McVeigh.

Rob said: “I’m so excited about making my return to be part of the show. I’ve been a part of the amazing show for many years and so excited to be a feature and bring my talents to this amazing cause.

“I have real love and fondness for this show and what it represents. Bring on the fun.”

Aurora Wellbeing Centres support local people and their families living with cancer.
