Doncaster reality television star Chloe Wilburn has been given the job of turning on the town’s Christmas lights.

The Bentley beauty, who became a national TV celebrity this summer, will flick the switch this Thursday night.

Festivities will also include a fun fair at Doncaster Market square from 4.30pm with Chloe turning the lights on at 6.30pm.

Activities for the whole family will be available until 7.30pm to kick off the Christmas season in style.

GP Princess Appearances will be live, performing ‘The Long Haired Tower Princess and Her Prince’.

As well as this, players from Doncaster Rovers, the newly-promoted Belles and Knights will also be coming along to meet fans and sign autographs.

In addition, there will be a special guest appearance from Santa himself, sitting in his grotto from 4.30pm.

Once the town is all lit up, there will be a parade led by Edlington Lions, while a range of market stalls selling Christmas treats will be ready for those early Christmas shoppers.

Civic Mayor of Doncaster, Coun Paul Wray, said: “There’s no better way to kick off the festive period than coming along to the Christmas lights switch-on. There’s going to be lots to do for all the family, so I hope as many people as possible come along and join in the festivities.”
