Pedal power proving a hit in town

Rotherham folk are moving into Bradley Wiggins’ slipstream and switching to pedal power to save themselves pounds in both weight and money.

Local cycling co-operative, Pedal Ready say biking is really taking off in and around the town as more and more people turn from four wheels to two.

The company is now working alongside Rotherham Council to offer free cycling sessions across the borough.

Councillor Gerald Smith, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development for Rotherham Borough Council, said: “We might not have the stamina or skill of Bradley Wiggins, but cycling is not only great fun but is also a great way to keep fit as well as save money.”
