Patchy rain, sleet and snow forecast for South Yorkshire tonight


Patchy rain, sleet and snow has been forecast for the region by The Met Office.

This evening it will snow mainly on hills but this will gradually peter out with most places dry by midnight.

It will be a cold night, particularly under cloud breaks and where snow is lying.

The odd fog patch is possible. Minimum temperature -5C.

There will be a cold start on Thursday with patchy fog slow to clear.

It should be a dry day with most places seeing some wintry sunshine.

Winds will be light. Maximum temperature 4C.
