PARENTS in the Isle have been urged to warn their children that anti-social behaviour won’t be tolerated.
Residents have also been been asked to call the police instantly when any disturbances are taking place.
This is part of the police response to increasing reports of disturbances all over the Isle, especially in Crowle, Epworth and West Butterwick.
A spokesman for the force said: “May we remind parents to make sure they speak to their children regarding their behaviour, and that they should give consideration to people living nearby.
“Parents should know where their children are and what they’re getting up to.”
But it’s not just young- sters who are causing problems.
Police have also had to speak to the owners of vehicles amongst groups of youths gathering in car parks, where criminal damage is also being done.
“We encourage local residents observing such anti-social behaviour in these areas to contact us on 0845 6060 222 with as much detail and descriptions of offenders as possible,” added the spokesman.
“It is better to ring straightaway and report when such an occurrence happens.”
