One of Doncaster's oldest residents dies at 100

One of Doncaster's oldest residents has died at the age of 100.

Harold Selby, of Sprotbrough, died earlier this month.

Mr Selby, died on May 10 and his funeral is due to take place next week.

Described as a beloved husband to the late Phyllis, Mr Selby was also a devoted father to Bruce, Anne, Valerie, Jayne and Nigel.

An obituary also described him as "a much loved brother to Sheila and a treasured grandad, great grandad and father in law."

It added: "Harold will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends."

The funeral service will take place at St Peter's Church, Bentley on Tuesday, May 24 at 2pm followed by committal at Rose Hill Crematioum at 3pm.
