Top rapper Professor Green is to head up a massive night of mixed martial arts cage fighting at The Keepmoat Stadium.
The Legends of MMA comes to Doncaster on Saturday with organisers promising an evening of great action and music.
Already the UK’s biggest fight show of 2013, the Legends of MMA boasts some of world’s top fighters in its show.
One of the UK’s best freestylers/rappers, Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, made a name for himself as a battle MC from East London, winning the prestigious freestyle night ‘Jump-Off’ twice in a row, which brought him to the attention of talent scouts and The Streets band member Mike Skinner. Littering his lyrics with wry pop culture references, a sharp sense of humour and honesty, Professor Green has produced and collaborated with a host of musicians, including Lily Allen.
Also on the bill are Leeds-based band The Sunshine Underground who are described as a fine mix of indie and dance music infused with electronic beats and bleeps, funky bass lines and epic, rousing choruses.
An Ultimate Cage Fighting Championship spokesman said: “We are delighted to announce Professor Green is coming to headline. The event already has some of the world’s top fighters appearing and, combined with top class music acts it will be an event to remember.”
The fight card is packed with some of the biggest MMA legends on the circuit including former Ultimate Fighting Championship legends Neil Wain, Ian Freeman, the former Vale Tudo champion and the USA’s Ken Shamrock, a UFC veteran Tickets are on sale from £50. Phone the box office on 0844 324 5590.
