Man fractures pelvis in South Yorkshire collision

A 37-year-old man has fractured his leg, hip and pelvis in a road traffic collision on the Dearne Valley Parkway.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision which took place on Friday (August 22) at around 6.25pm, involving a black Ford Kuga and green Kawasaki motorbike.

The vehicles were travelling along the parkway towards Wombwell.

Officers received reports that as the vehicles approached the Hemingfield roundabout they were involved in a collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car and motorbike were involved in a collision on the Dearne Valley Parkway in Barnsley.

The motorbike rider, a 37-year-old man, was taken to the Northern General Hospital where he was treated for fractures to his leg, hip and pelvis.

The two occupants of the car, a 67-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman were taken to Barnsley District General Hospital where they were treated for shock.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it.
