Doncaster pop sensation Louis Tomlinson is even bigger than American president Barack Obama, according to Twitter.

For a four year-old tweet by the Bessacarr One Direction star has become the second most retweeted tweet on the social media service ever.

The 2011 tweet by Louis to bandmate Harry Styles has sailed past Barack Obama’s “four more years” post celebrating his re-election.

Tomlinson’s tweet “Always in my heart @Harry_Styles . Yours sincerely, Louis” has 774,321 retweets at the time of writing — many more than Obama’s 757,668 which has been pushed into third place.

But both are dwarfed by Ellen DeGenere’s star-studded Oscars selfie pictured which has been retweeted nearly 3.4 million times.

Obama’s tweet went instantly viral when it was first posted in November 2012, bursting through previous records for retweets.
