A LOTTO prize of £55,753 won from a ticket bought in the Doncaster borough has finally been claimed.
National Lottery players in Thorne and district were urged to double-check their old tickets after the lucky winner failed to come forward.
The punter, who matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the April 30 draw, emerged to collect their cash.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re delighted the winner of this amazing prize has come forward and we hope they will enjoy their win.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money.”
He added Lotto players should always check their tickets. The winning line was 1, 6, 12, 29, 36, 44 and the bonus ball was 21.
