Det Insp Steve Kappel of Cleveland Police’s Community Drugs Enforcement Team said: “Drug dealing causes an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour in communities and I am therefore very pleased with the sentence passed by the court.

“I hope it sends a strong warning to anyone tempted to travel to Cleveland for the purposes of drug dealing - we will always do all we can to bring you before the courts and to justice.”

He faces a Proceeds of Crime confiscation case in July.
