Call In is a voluntary community service which has been operating successfully in Crowle for 15 years helping local residents to make new friends as well as raising hundreds of pounds for worthy causes.
The weekly coffee morning sessions are held on Tuesdays from 9.30 to llam at Crowle Methodist Church, Fieldside.
Spokesperson Pat Briggs says: “Everyone is welcome to join in the good company and pleasant surroundings.
“We’ve been serving coffee and biscuits for the last 15 years and although refreshments are free most people leave a donation which is distributed to various charities. Access is very easy with disabled toilets and baby changing facilities available.
“There is a children’s corner and it would be nice if parents with babies or toddlers stopped by for a coffee. There are also bric-a-brac and books for sale.”
In the past six months the following causes have benefited: Cash for Kids charity (£50); Wish Upon A Star (£50); National Children’s Home (£50); Faith In Families (£50); Lindsey Blind Crowle Branch (£50); Lindsey Hospice (£25) and Scunthorpe Hospital Stroke Unit (£25).
