THE inspirational work of two groups of children from the Isle to help a young boy with cancer have been recognised at a special awards ceremony.
The groups, which called themselves Alexander’s Angels and The Three Amigos, were given prizes in this year’s Humberside Police Lifestyle competition.
Both groups raised money to help Alexander Strong, from Epworth, who is suffering from a rare type of cancer.
Alexander’s Angels, made up of Georgia Sitch and Hannah Piggott from Epworth and Freya Trippett from Haxey, were rewarded with an adventure holiday in France.
The Three Amigos, made up of Ellis Croxall, Henry Metcalf and Aiden Woodcock, will enjoy an adventure holiday to Wales.
