A WHEATLEY teenager has sky-high ambitions to become a pilot after he completed a solo glider flight aged 16.
Nathan Evans, of St Mary’s Road, recently took to the skies on his own for the first time.
He said: “It was strange having no-one there with me but I got used to it quickly. It was a really great experience.”
The youngster thanked everyone at Burn Airfield, near Selby, where he has been training for about two years. The Danum Academy pupil is hoping to train to become a commercial pilot.
