almost 500 people visiting Accident and Emergency left before receiving treatment over the space of a month, according to latest figures.

Statistics released by the Department of Health reveal that of the 14,459 going for emergency treatment through Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in May, 481, 3.3 per cent of patients, left before receiving any type of medical treatment.

The figures also reveal 1,293 attending the emergency department were readmitted for further help within seven days of being treated during May.
