Doncaster residents wanting a chlamydia test can now do so without a consultation or appointment.

sMembers of the public can call in at contraception and sexual health services at East Laith Gate House in the town centre and pick up a testing kit.

Visitors can get them from the toilets and provide a urine sample or self swab and place the specimen in the ‘drop box’ with the completed form.

No consultation is required and the results are texted to clients within five to ten days.

Trudy Weir, of the contraception and sexual health team at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), said: “You don’t have to speak to staff in the clinic and can still do the simple and quick test, making for an even more private and confidential way of testing.”
