A MUM-OF-TWO lost five stone in six months to improve her health and get her back in to employment.
Jodie-Lee Walker, 26, gave birth to her second child Nhieve in September 2010, and shortly after tipped the scales at 16st 3lbs. Harry, her son, is three-years-old.
During her pregnancy Jodie-Lee suffered from pelvic inflammatory disease, which meant she had to use crutches.
After having Nhieve, she decided enough was enough and that something had to be done. After trying diet and slimming pills, which did not work, Jodie-Lee joined Slimming World.
She attended her first meeting on November 8, and just six months later, Jodie-Lee weighed in at five stone lighter.
Jodie-Lee, of Broadway, Dunscroft, said: “I can’t believe how warm and friendly attending group is.You are made to feel so welcome and I just can’t believe how much free foods you can eat.
“I never feel hungry and can still enjoy eating all of my favourite foods.”
Jodie-Lee has now become a Slimming World consultant herself and wants to share her experiences with others in her position.
She has been giving leaflets out in the area, something which would not have been possible before losing the weight.
A new class is at Hatfields club in Ash Hill Road in Hatfield and starts on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
