Doncaster residents are being asked to give blood tomorrow.
Two sessions have been arranged at the Racecourse, between 12:30 and 3.30pm and 4.15 and 7:15pm.
Holly Mason, lead donor relations manager at NHS Blood and Transplant, said: “We welcome new and existing donors to give blood and we will do our best to ensure that everyone that wants to donate is seen as quickly as possible. Sometimes there may be a short wait as the number of donors that turn up can’t be predicted in advance and the last hour can be particularly busy. If you can free up some time in your busy schedule to help those who vitally need a blood transfusion then please come along to a session.
“In Doncaster there are donor sessions held all over the town so residents should be able to get to one of these at a time convenient for them.
By donating blood you can help us keep the stock levels stable as we approach the colder months.”
First time donors should be aged between 17-65, weighing at least 50 kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health. There is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years. For more information or to book an appointment visit www.blood.co.uk or contact 0300 1232323.
