People are invited to take part in a new inclusion and fairness forum tomorrow.

The forum has been created to help the council and its partners work towards making Doncaster a fairer place to live and work.

Created by the Team Doncaster Strategic Partnership, it will look at how inequalities, such as employment, mental health, obesity and social isolation, have affected people.

The meeting will take place tomorrow, (Tuesday May 12), at Lakeside Community Centre from 10am until 12pm.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to observe and ask questions.

The aim of the meeting is to gain a better understanding of issues, so that Doncaster council can consider what changes and actions could be taken to tackle inequality.

An independent chair has been appointed, who will lead a range of public sector and voluntary/community representatives in up to six formal meetings a year.

These meetings will be open to the public and held in local community venues across the borough.
