THORNE residents have helped to raise more than £9,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance by donating their old bras.
The Bag it Up campaign saw 174,060 bras collected raising a total of £9,600 for the charity that provides life saving rapid response emergency service to five million people across Yorkshire.
To keep providing this life saving service the charity needs to raise £7,200 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances maintained and in the air.
The successful campaign has now finished and old bras are no longer accepted.
