PEOPLE are being urged to get involved with their local hospital by standing for election to the Council of Governors at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Foundation Trust is seeking a total of eight new Governors - five public members and three staff members – and is calling on local people to step forward for the challenge.
The seats are for the following positions:
One seat for North East Lincolnshire public constituency
Three seats for North Lincolnshire public constituency
One seat for Goole and Howdenshire public constituency
Three seats for the staff constituency.
Foundation Trust Assistant Head of Governance – Membership and Assistant Trust Secretary Sarah Everatt said: “Our governors are ordinary members of the local community, just like you, and many of them have no specialist knowledge about health care.
“What they do have is time to help plan the future of the organisation and represent the views of the local people. This is your opportunity to have a say in how your local hospital is run.”
