RESIDENTS are being urged to do their bit for the environment by recycling more.
To mark National Recycling Week Doncaster Council is encouraging residents to help the environment with this year’s theme being ‘Recycling -Home and Away’.
The council wants people to do more recycling at home and while out and about.
Coun Mark Thompson, cabinet member for the environment, said: “Doncaster residents are already keen recyclers and last year we recycled over 40 per cent of our household waste by various recycling initiatives therefore reducing landfill costs and achieving savings.”
“However, this recycling week we’re challenging residents to recycle even more of their rubbish.”
