Husband and wife team Ernest and Lorraine Strawbridge opened Josh’s Diner nearly five years ago.

Mr Strawbridge, of Barnsley, said: “We offer traditional home comfort food which is top quality and very good value from our cafe in the market hall in Mexborough.

“Everything is cooked fresh. Our oven is always on for baking. We cook everything fresh on the premises to order and are more than happy to offer these sausage rolls.

“We do everything - from boiled eggs to all-day breakfasts, home made pies and scones to roast dinners. And if it isn’t on the list, we’ll try and cook it for you.”

The couple know a thing or two about fresh food as they also run a fruit and vegetable stall in the market.

Mr Strawbridge added: “We also offer a takeaway service for people who want to warm up their meal later at home.
