FIRE crews are today dealing with a large number of incidents of localised flooding in the area following heavy rain overnight.
Humberside Fire Service is warning drivers to take care on roads many of which have become dangerous following downpours.
The rain has also caused ground to become saturated in places and there is a risk of it entering some people’s homes.
Fire chiefs said crews were “coping well” with current situation but they have asked residents not to call about flooding unless the water has entered the property or it is a real emergency.
Although the rain is expected to pass this afternoon, further rain is expected in the early hours of the morning.
Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to plan ahead, to drive to the conditions and to avoid making unnecessary journeys.
The warning comes after parts of Crowle were once again left under water at the end of last week following heavy rain.
