There’s still time to see the Mallard, a Doncaster Thoroughbred exhibition at Doncaster museum and art gallery, which runs until November 2. The exhibition commemorates the 75th anniversary of Mallard’s record breaking win and includes objects from the museum’s collection and the Doncaster Grammar School Collection of historic railway memorabilia. Some of the objects have rarely been seen in public, such as Silver King, Seagull

Artfuel in Doncaster hosts a silversmithing workshop this weekend, which is perfect for beginners.
People attending will be given a basic introduction to silversmithing, including tools, techniques and tips. In this friendly workshop, you can choose to make a hammered silver ring or a textured heart pendant.
Chains will be also available for purchase on the day. Rings or pendants would make lovely gifts or why not buy the workshop as a special present for a loved one?
Experienced jewellery maker Diane Higgins Lee will be your tutor for the day. People attending should bring an apron with them. 4. Dance: Head over to the Cast theatre for Translunar Paradise which will take you on a journey of life, death, and enduring love. Using a live accordion accompaniment, this exquisite piece of mask and movement theatre was a multi-award winning, critically acclaimed sellout at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 & 2012.
