Firefighters tackling Dearne building blaze

South Yorkshire firefighters are currently attempting to extinguish a blaze at a large business premises in the Dearne Valley.

The fire broke out at the TK Lynskey Excavations at The Foundry, Common Lane in Wath-upon-Dearne at around 6.55am.

A total of four fire engines are currently on the scene attempting to put out the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, and it is also not known whether anyone was in the building when the blaze started.
