Fire-gutted firm rises from ashes

BUSINESS is booming for a Parkgate company whose premises were burnt down in a massive blaze.

Envelope Master continued to trade after its building was gutted in the fire that was tackled by about 60 firefighters who prevented it spreading to other factories and the adjacent Yorkshire Traction Museum, at the Aldwarke site last January.

The company, that specialises in padded envelopes and bubble wrap, moved in to a nearby industrial unit and is now to take action in a bid to prevent any further fires.

A new fire and security system is to be installed by Assured Fire and Security, to include a full alarm and system monitoring system.

Envelope Master is also trialling the use of ‘coreless’ rolls of bubble wrap in its new storage area.
