Doncaster’s award winning market is often described as the jewel in Doncaster’s crown and the event gave shoppers the chance to discover just what the market has to offer.

Speaking about the event on July 30 Assistant Director of Trading Services and Assets, Dave Wilkinson, said: “We have had excellent feedback from traders and visitors after the recent Making Markets Matter event, and I’m glad that those who came along enjoyed a great day out.

“We have also recently had celebrations for Yorkshire Day, with even more to come during the fabulous St. Leger Festival.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy our markets, and I’m pleased that our successful events are helping to drive up footfall and encourage more visits.”
