DEVELOPERS wanting to transform a former old people’s home into a new apartment block have applied for an extension to its existing planning permission.
An application has already been approved by Doncaster Council for the conversion of the Old Vicarage, in Stonegate, Thorne, into 11 self-contained apartments.
Concept Investments Ltd, the firm behind the proposal, had its original planning request supported by town planners almost two years ago.
Now company bosses are hoping to receive an extension to their plans after submitting the new application, which is being handled by Windle Cook Architects, last month.
The council has validated the application and it looks set to make a decision on the scheme before March 8.
The proposal also includes providing parking facilities for the apartments.
