Enthusiastic pupils from Mexborough’s St John the Baptist Primary School have been planning their dream homes thanks to an after-school club run by St Leger Homes.

The Junior Apprentice Scheme gives pupils an insight into topics such as personal financial awareness, customer service and estate and property management.

The aim is to help them plan for a successful future and understand how they can help shape their own communities. Pupils were able to plan their own two-bedroom house and create posters.

Mayor Ros Jones said: “It is fantastic that St Leger Homes are working in partnership with our schools.”
