Elderly Doncaster couple taken to hospital after bus stop robbery


An elderly Doncaster couple have been taken to hospital following a street robbery in Doncaster this morning.

The couple were at a bus stop on Bentley Road near the junction with West End Avenue, Bentley when they were approached by a man who snatched the man’s wallet.

The victim was knocked to the ground in the incident at the bus stop outside West End News at around 10.50am and both him and his wife have been taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary after police and an ambulance were called.

Police are now hunting for the robber and the area has been cordoned off.
