Shoppers at Frenchgate Shopping Centre, Doncaster are in for some sweet treats this Easter as the Centre is set to turn into a chocoholic’s dream destination.
Frenchgate’s theme for its Easter celebrations is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, featuring a series of events for children and adults of which Willy Wonka himself would be proud.
The children’s events include chocolate Easter bunny decorating on April 2 and a Candy Bag workshop on April 3.
Youngsters can also make their own Wonka wrapper on April 7, or Wonka top hat on April 8, get involved in a colouring competition with Sainsbury’s on April 9 and create chocolate face masks and white chocolate bath bombs at the Lush party on April 10.
All events will run from 11am until 4pm and will take place outside Debenhams.
There’s also plenty of fun for adults with chocolate tasting on March 31 between 1pm and 4pm, and the chance to win a £500 Frenchgate gift card with the ultimate golden ticket giveaway. Five golden tickets have been hidden around Frenchgate and customers are being asked to write down on a special leaflet where they have seen one and hand their completed forms in at Customer Services for the chance to win the top prize. In addition five lucky runners up will receive a trip to the York Chocolate Story.
Shoppers will also get the chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself as he will be hopping round the centre handing out chocolate chicks.
Lauren Sims, Marketing Assistant at Frenchgate Shopping Centre, said: “Easter is a great time for children and adults alike to join in the fun and sample lots of tasty treats.
“For those who are not chocoholics, we have got fantastic spring fashions in our clothing stores and it’s a great time to make seasonal additions to your wardrobe so there really is something for everyone at the Frenchgate this Easter.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming families to the Centre over the next couple of weeks and I am sure that everyone will really enjoy the range of activities and shops that we have to offer.”
