Deaf pupils recognised for educational achievements in Doncaster

Deaf pupils have been recognised for their educational achievements at Doncaster School for the Deaf this week.

The pupils have received prizes for educational excellence at the school’s annual prize giving day.

Jane Goodman, deputy head teacher, said: “Our annual prize giving day is a wonderful event which is always enjoyed by pupils, parents, trustees, governors and staff.

“Our pupils are at the centre of all that we do and we work hard to ensure that they all develop their language and communication skills, develop socially and emotionally and become confident, independent young adults.

“It is great to see our pupils being rewarded for all their hard work and everyone coming together to celebrate the successes and achievements of the academic year.”

Alan Robinson, Executive Principal added: “we have a fantastic community of people at the school.

“It is the strength of our relationships that make this organisation what it is and ensures that everyone here learns new skills and finds out more about their own potential each and every day.

“Our pupils are wonderful ambassadors for the school and we are extremely proud of what they have achieved.”
