Detectives are still investigating a robbery at a Mexborough pharmacy in which a member of staff was threatened with a screwdriver.

South Yorkshire Police said the offender was given a quantity of cash from the till at the Numark Mexborough Pharamcy in Wath Road, before leaving the shop.

CCTV images have been released of a man who threatened the member of staff in the hope a South Yorkshire Times reader might be able to help identify him.

The incident happened on Friday, June 21, at about 12.50pm.

The image shows the suspect had his face covered by a white jacket, which he had zipped up with the hood pulled over.

He was wearing beige coloured trousers and was holding a carrier bag. He was described as being about 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and spoke with a local accent.

Witnesses should call police on 101, quoting incident number 508 of June 21, 2013. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with information.
