Doncaster Rovers could be set for a bumper pay day - from beyond the grave.
According to a report in a national newspaper this morning, the club is set to receive cash from a lifelong supporter who died last autumn and pledged the money in his will.
The fan, who was based in North London, according to The Sun, was a regular at the Keepmoat Stadium and made a provision to leave the donation to the League One club.
It is understood that the solicitors overseeing his estate are close to selling the man’s house for more than half a million pounds.
However, details of the settlement are believed to be confidential and the club has issued no further details at this stage.
